MedTrans Go Selected for Google for Startups Black Founders Fund!

Updated: Jun 5, 2023

MedTrans Go is elated to announce that we have been selected for the 2022 Google for Startups Black Founders Fund cohort! This fund was created to address the massive gap in support and funding awarded to black businesses around the globe. In 2020, Black founders raised less than 1% of all venture capital dollars invested in the U.S. This disparity has not only hindered innovation, but also limited opportunities for economic opportunity, wealth generation, and upward mobility. Through these programs, Google has provided $30 million in non-dilutive cash funding and support to entrepreneurs in the U.S., Brazil, Europe, and Africa in the past three years. MedTrans Go joins ten other Atlanta-based startups in this year's cohort.

With this incredible opportunity, MedTrans Go will receive $100,000 in cash funding, $100,000 in Cloud credits, hands-on support from Google, and access to mental health and business coaching at no cost. In addition to the incredible support that we have received from Google, we will also receive coaching, network connections, and additional support from their partner Goodie Nation, an incredible organization that "exists to eliminate the relationship gap that stands in the way of success for too many promising entrepreneurs, especially those who are people of color, women, or aren't located in coastal financial centers. By making sure that every entrepreneur, no matter their background or location, can access the relationships they need to thrive, we are building a more sustainable and prosperous future for all."
